Mid-year exams for the medical students at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) continue for the current academic year in the laboratories of the National Center for Medical Competence Assessment. We wish all our dear students success and good luck.

As part of the awareness and educational programs for female students at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), the Department of Internal Departments, in collaboration with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, organized an educational lecture titled "Drugs and Their Effects on the Individual and Society" presented by Ms. Dhuha Yahya Aboud. The aim of this lecture was to shed light on this negative phenomenon and its effects, as well as the immediate and future impacts on individuals and society.

In the context of the university's efforts to improve the quality of electronic services provided, an important meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Waqed Al-Mousawi, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, with the officials of the electronic platforms in various colleges of the university. The meeting focused on enhancing and developing digital interfaces, as well as discussing new strategies to enhance communication with students, provide academic content innovatively and renewably, and focus on the scientific achievements of the university's colleges and departments.

The Department of Student Activities at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) is organizing a table tennis tournament for students from all colleges and departments of the university. Those who wish to participate should contact the head of their department to register their name.

Mr. University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, accompanied by Mr. Assistant Scientific, Professor Dr. Waqad Al-Mousawi, toured the corridors of the university to observe the progress of the educational process and development projects at the university, and to monitor the achievement rates therein.

Under the supervision of Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun, the Dean of the College of Medicine, second-year students at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) have taken mid-term exams for the practical Anatomy course. The college's administration provided all necessary scientific and logistical requirements to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.

As part of the national initiative to support energy and reduce emissions, Dr. Hassan Ahmed, a faculty member in the Aeronautical Engineering department at the College of Engineering, participated in the "International Auditors Preparation Program" for ISO 5000 1 standard. This training program was conducted in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
It is worth mentioning that several faculty members and deans at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) are selected to participate in government programs to enhance their academic competence.

The Law College at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University organized an educational trip for its students and faculty members to the Holy Shrine of Imam Musa Al-Kadhim. During the trip, the students performed visitation rituals and explored the intellectual and cultural activities at the shrine, including visiting the oldest library at the shrine and the wooden manuscripts workshop.

In the presence of Mr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the University President, and Dr. Mohamed Jamal Al-Taif, the Dean of the College of Media, the Department of Digital Media at the College of Media, in collaboration with the Media Department at the Holy Hussainiya Shrine, organized a scientific workshop titled "Digital Design Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques" presented by designer Osama Adnan Al-Khayyat from the Media Office of the Holy Hussainiya Shrine.
The University President emphasized to the students the importance of showcasing their media talents and assured them of the university's strong support by launching a competition for the best college logo design, designing a brochure specifically for the College of Media, and creating a professional promotional video.
This workshop aimed to introduce the concept of design and its types, as well as the artificial intelligence tools that designers can utilize in their work. The workshop also included sharing experiences in designing websites for the Holy Shrine.

The Law College at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) held a ceremony to honor Karbala lawyers, presenting them with the Lawyers' Association badge. Graduates of the college who joined the Lawyers' Association in Karbala participated in the event, organized by the Karbala Lawyers' Association branch. Faculty members of the Law College were recognized for their efforts in the success of the ceremony.

The Faculty of Medicine at University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) hosted His Eminence Sayyid Haider Al-Balushi, who presented a dialogue session for medical students. The session included responses to students' questions and inquiries regarding the Sharia rulings related to the medical profession, the doctor-patient relationship, as well as clarifying the Sharia rulings on ethical issues that doctors or patients may encounter. The students expressed their gratitude for the insights provided by His Eminence during the session, affirming that this information will contribute to their development as future doctors.
 
 

Dr. Diaa Khafif Khushan has been chosen as the Head of the Petroleum and Gas Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at the University of Prophets' Heritage, and as a member of the editorial board for the Oil Research and Studies Journal at the Ministry of Oil. This journal is structured according to international standards such as Scopus, SciVal, Web of Science, Publons, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate for inclusion in global scientific repositories.

Based on the official directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the necessity of adopting the British IELTS English language test as a standard for accepting students in postgraduate studies, the University of Prophets' Heritage is organizing an informative online seminar in collaboration with the British institution UniHouse. Mr. Ben Music, the Director of Training and Capacity Building at the institution, along with Mr. Tony Sturtevant, one of their course trainers, will provide answers to common questions such as: - What is the exam? - How is it conducted? - Who are the target candidates for the test? - How will the exam benefit you in the future? - What are the best tips for passing the exam? - How to prepare for the exam? The Aircraft Engineering Department at the College of Engineering organized a scientific workshop for first-year students in the Aircraft Engineering Department entitled "Manufacturing Methods for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)", presented by Dr. Hassan Ahmed Ibrahim.
 
The seminar covered what an aircraft engineer needs to know, including "design selection, manufacturing of UAV molds, preparation of composite materials, and methods of their use".
 
 

A delegation from the College of Management and Economics at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), led by the Assistant Dean, Dr. Fahad Mughaimish Al-Shammari, visited the College of Industrial Management for Oil and Gas at the University of Basra for Oil and Gas. The College of Law at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), in collaboration with the Islamic Center for Studies and Research in Tunisia, organized a dialogue session on the relationship between law and Islamic Sharia. The event featured the presence of Sheikh Ahmed Salman, the director of the center, who answered questions from law students regarding various aspects related to the compatibility of laws with Islamic Sharia.
 

The College of Law at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa is pleased to invite researchers and academics to participate in its "Third Law Conference" scheduled under the theme "Social Peace: Means and Challenges". This comes in collaboration with the Colleges of Law at the University of Karbala, University of Babylon, University of Baghdad, and the Police College.
The conference invites all researchers from universities, research centers, academics, and local and international scientific associations to participate in this important event scheduled to be held on March 6, 2024.

The College of Science's deanery is keen on organizing a training program aimed at training and equipping first-year students with cultural and academic skills. The Information Technology Department, in collaboration with the Warith Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Development, organized a specialized training workshop titled "Think Innovatively", presented by Assistant Lecturer Safaa Al-Silawi.

A delegation from the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), led by the Head of the Petroleum and Gas Engineering Department, Dr. Diaa Khafif Khushan, along with several department faculty members, participated in the "First Arab Oil and Gas Conference and its Future Prospects" organized by the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate and the Arab Engineers Union.

Under the auspices of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, and in line with the recommendations of the conference on "The Strategic Understanding of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani - Scientific Approach and Ethical Behavior," the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, in collaboration with the Warith Academy for Human Development and Strategic Studies, organized a scientific forum titled "Vision 2050 for Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Iraq."
The forum discussed the significant challenges posing an existential threat to Iraqi society and the Iraqi state, particularly the imminent danger of water scarcity in the coming years due to drought, exploitation of water resources by neighboring countries, and their failure to comply with international laws and agreements regarding water distribution.
The forum emphasized the necessity of creating a popular, institutional, and governmental direction towards formulating a clear and objective vision for sustainable management of water resources in Iraq.
